Held in Fayetteville, Arkansas in early 2022, the world championships for cyclocross was decided for the first time on American soil. The discipline requires riders to ride at high speed, hop barriers, and go to shoulder-to-shoulder to finish first. In this photo, Dutch rider Marianne Vos trails her compatriot Lucinda Brand in the women’s elite race. Vos would go on to win the race, her 8th world title since her first 16 years ago.
